Youth Cheerleading

The Westerville Warhawks Youth Basketball Association is excited to bring Cheerleading back to our program for the 3rd year in a row!  For the 2025/2026 season, tryouts will be open to athletes currently living in the Central High School district. 

We would like to offer cheerleading squads for multiple grade levels, depending on coach and athlete availability. Each squad will be comprised of student athletes in grades 3rd-6th. The squads will cheer at home Youth Warhawks basketball games, at Westerville Central High School, on Sundays during the COBA basketball season. We are open to athletes interested in joining both the Cheerleading Squad and Warhawks Youth Basketball teams!  Several athletes did both programs successfully for the 2024-2025 season. Please indicate interest and communicate clearly during registration if your athlete is interested in both programs.  You will also need to register for the Basketball teams here.

For reference, tryouts fora 2024/2025 season consisted of a short clinic the week before tryouts and included learning and performing a cheer, short dance and jumps.

Prior Year: 

Practice- 1 day per week during the season (November-February)

Games- 1-2 home games on Sundays during the season (November-February)

Cost for the 2025/2026 season TBD.  For reference, costs for the 2024-2025 season was $275 per athlete. This concluded gym rental fees, cheer uniforms and accessories. 

Our goal is to keep costs low for our athletes, which is why the Board seeks program sponsorships. See more details on our Sponsorship page including different sponsorship tiers.
